Ritual Abuse

What is Ritual Abuse?

Ritual abuse is an extreme, sadistic form of abuse of children, teenagers, and non-consenting adults which involves methodical and systematic sexual, physical, emotional and spiritual abuse. Unlike other forms of extreme abuse, ritual abuse is justified by a belief system that may be religious, political, or another type of ideology.

Ritual abuse often includes:

  • using mind control, including torturing victims
  • very serious crimes and extremely immoral activities such as committing murder, rape, and recording child sexual exploitation imagery (child pornography)
  • sex trafficking (forced prostitution) of children and adult victims
